When And Why Should a
Pre-Shipment Inspection Be Conducted?
Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) is one of the most important quality control services for importers sourcing products from China. This inspection is conducted when production is completed and at least 80–100% of goods are packed and ready for shipment.
A PSI takes place at the factory or packing facility and focuses on verifying product quality, workmanship, quantity, packaging, labeling, and compliance with approved specifications, purchase orders, and applicable standards before goods leave the supplier’s premises.
